Julia Sarda is an illustrator, concept artist and character designer based in Barcelona.
She has a wonderful, lively style, a superb sense of color and a great feeling for visual drama. She also demonstrates a masterful command of dark and light in her compositions. She also plays with theatrical spotlight effects and uplighting to great effect.
I particularly admire the way she can combine crisp flat edged planes of color with more rendered and textural elements within the same image and make is feel like a seamless whole.
