Tom Aplomb: Prosperity

If you want to prosper, give of your love to the world.

Many people think prosperity is about money - bringing it in, salting it away, spending it on the appearances and trappings (traps, actually) of a successful life.

Doing that equates with financial success, but it does not equal prosperity and creates only an illusory sense of abundance.

Unless you shift your focus, the real thing will escape your grasp.

If you want to prosper, give of your love to the world.

The Old Latin roots of prosper come from pro, meaning for, and spes, meaning hope. To prosper, we must be for hope. And what is more hopeful, what action embodies more hope, trust, and faith in the power of our own generous spirits to affect outcomes and in the glow of the light that flows through us to brighten the darkness, than to give of our love to the world?

Can you think of one?

I can't.

To receive and benefit, you must give beneficently.

If you want to prosper, give of your love to the world.
